Introduction to Health Careers

Class Description

This course is designed to expose students to the healthcare industry by surveying the wide spectrum of healthcare occupations and equipping them with the entry level knowledge and skills that apply to a variety of health occupations. This course is a great to take before taking Medical Occupations or Nursing Careers because it gives students a solid foundation for understanding health science. Students who successfully complete this course will acquire the necessary knowledge and skills that will allow them to pursue an education and career in the healthcare industry. Students will be trained in many hands-on skills, including taking vital signs. Students will earn their Basic Life Support CPR Certification and develop a professional career portfolio.
