Degrees and Certifications:
Visual Communications offers a theoretical and applied academic foundation to graphic and traditional art through emphasis on the fundamental elements of art and design. The ability to plan and create original works of art will be developed through research, analysis, and critique. Students have the opportunity to design and produce projects using computer graphic design software. Example projects include: logo design, graphics for advertising, posters, web sites and graphics for game and software interfaces. Each student creates a portfolio that can be used to gain admission into post-secondary schools or employment in the visual arts field.
