What is UC a-g?
The University of California (UC) and California State University (CSU) colleges require high school students to complete 15 UC a-g approved courses. In the UC a-g plan, 11 of those courses should be complete by the end of the 11th grade. Students must maintain a C or better in these courses to meet the requirements. See below for the UC a-g course chart and the TVROP course offerings that are UC a-g approved. More courses will be pending approval as of February 1, 2018.
Students must complete the following:

"b" Four years of English

"c" Three years of Mathematics (Four years recommended)

"d" Two years of Science (Three years recommended)

"e" Two years of Foreign Language (Three years recommended)

"f" One year of Visual and Performing Arts

"g" College Prep Elective (Two semesters)
